How do I get video from my non digital video camera to the web. can someone let me know what software to buy? |
I have a regular video camera. I want to put videos on the Internet. I have a PC and a Mac so if someone can tell me which one would be easier to set up for that and the software I would need. Thanks You can buy patch cords that allow you to transfer video from some types of video cameras and VCRs direct to your PC. They usually come with some software too. It all depends on the type of camera you have and your PC. Go to any big computer store (like Comp USA) and they should be able to hook you up (no pun intended). Also try tigerdirect.com. Read up on Digital Image Pro 9. Maybe that will give you some answers. Good luck! Dazzel Software works well. Others are out there, but I have only used: You need what's callled a D/A converter, either Analog to Digital or Bi-Directional. It will convert your analog signal to digital so that you can store it on your computer. You can either get an external one or one that goes into your PCI slot. A TV tuner card or device would work as well, but they are usually more expensive than just a D/A converter. Canopus is a good brand, and Dazzle is fairly cheap. Then you will need software to capture it with. You can use iMovie for that. |
