What software should I use to download pictures from my digital camera? |
Microsoft XP system, on a Dell computer. I have heard good things about Picasa from Google, both from friends and from reviewers of software. No If you put your card in the slot in your computer. A windows window will pop up and ask you what you want to do. All you have to do is choose: view and open files. Then select all of the pictures and move them into your photo directory in your own computer. Its much quicker and faster than using other programs. I have many programs that I don't even use because quickness is more important and cheaper for those that cannot buy a program. HOwever, Canon and Olympus and Kodak have programs. Try going to one of those shareware websites. Good Luck! :) The camera should come with software... or try the "Scanners and Cameras" option in the Control Panel. Depends which camera u have. Usually when u coonect it at USB port it aautamatically pops up a window asking where to save the files. I am personally a photographer who has won photography contests. I use Adobe Photoshop downloader, if you are willing to pay. Then, you can use the same program for editing. Another option is to use Windows built in software or to use the software supplied with your camera. I would also recommend a card reader for high speed transfers and convenience. The camera should have come with software but if not Windows has it too. First you need to connect your camera or media card to the computer. how about the one that came with the camera?? |
