My camera wont work when i plug it in.?

I have a vistaquest 5015 camera and it didnt come with any software to download. You just plug it in to the computer and a little thing would pop up asking you what you wanted to do. My camera used to work all the time before but for some reason it is not working any more. Help?

The cord might be wearing out. Does it use the standard mini USB cord? If so, then a quick trip to a wireless store and 5-10 bucks should fix those woes.

If that is not the case, then there might an issue with the port you are connecting to. Did you try it on your other USB ports? Mine can get a bit funky on my older machines, working in some ports but not in others.

You can bypass all the USB hook up by getting a card reader, they are cheap and very handy to use. You would put the card from your camera in the reader and open the reader as a drive in MyComputer, then also open MyDocuments/MyPictures and drag and drop your photos into the file.
Your software might be corrupt.
If this is a Vista OS, you might need a new compatible driver.
You might try a card reader, it is cheap and USB and easy to use. You can open your card as a drive, then drag and drop to a file of your chooing, under MyPictures.
