Recording video games?

what software can i use to record myself playing videogames on my tv (besides a camera) and then put them on youtube. also if you no anything about halo, will his face be revieled in halo wars?

This works for PS2's (and possibly any other console with the three coulred wire AUX connection)

Take a VCR and connect it to your tv, take your ps2 and connect it via three wire connection to the VCR (most have the correct connection, if not use the three wire scart adaptor as comes with PS2) then play your game, at the right time hit the record button. once you're done if it's possible for you're VCR to connect to a computer via a Firewire connection (looks like a tall pointed house if you turn it on it's end) you should ba able to take the film straght off the vcr and into the computer, possibly via Premier. however using Mac programs IMovie and Final cut would be better. if the VCR doesn't have the correct connection to need to find a dual VHS and Mini DV VCR. you then tape all your footage onto the Mini DV tape using the Dual VCR and then use the Mini DV as your master tape. Mini DV's are easier to get the footage into the computer as you can connect a Mini DV camera to the computer and it will transfer or again put the Mini DV in a DV deck and put it into IMovie and Final Cut.

When you've finished turn your movie into a Quicktime movie, this is the most supported format - YouTube has a 100mb limit so if you go past that you can put the the QT Movie into Macromedia Flash and turn it into a flash movie with little quality change but a much smaller file size.

Ok it requires some equipment and software but if you go to a college/uni with a Media block just ask to borrow some of it, but make sure you know how to use it first.

and there is an adapter called Adaptec GameBridge. it links ur computer to your tv and it records what ever is on your tv screen on to your computer it if frecking amazing.
