How do I add my own lyrics to a popular song and post the music video on YouTube?

would like to take a popular song, without their lyrics, and add my own on a different topic. Ultimately this will go on YouTube. I have a video camera. I don't have any special software.
Are there any useful downloads for such a task?

use windows movie maker (included in your windows machine)...

and...

use a web cam and start recording something... or

Just get those clips you want , save & convert them, and then mix/match with pix/sound/lyrics/etc using windows movie maker to create new masterpieces....

this will help you.... Use 'zillatube'. This is the easiest (and also the fastest) way.

Zillatube produces mpg/mp3 video formats from youtube that are compatible with windows movie maker(or media player), and more.

It is very easy to download and convert videos. Then edit those converted mpg videos with windows movie maker. Ensure you use dvd conversion setting for better quality video.

Is this what you want to do?

so you want to get that song but with no words so its like an instrumental song then you want to add your words in that song, if thats what you wanted to do then windows movie maker i guess could work sort of you just download that song in instrumental than use a microphone to sing whatever your song is and sort of add it into that song dunno really but this may work.
