New computer new programs with it.?

recently i got a e machine, and got rid of my compaq, the emachine has some features on the desk top that i dont know what they are, like flyswat instant info, emachines net work,netscape comunicator, web camera software.
am wondering about these and there significance. for example, if i bought a web cam, wouldnt it come with software to run it, so do i need to keep these. i dont want to delete anything that i shouldnt.
the computer is used and it came with windows me, and i up graded it to xp.
i have the restore disk for it that came with it, and thinking about getting rid of the the ME back up files.
i have found out that when you purchase a puter that it comes with unneccisary gizmos and wondering what i can get by with and how to get rid of the junk that comes with it to free up the clutter

lets u decide what u want to remove w/ a few clicks... takes all the guess work out of it and is less time consuming.....just make sure u look at what u r uninstalling 1st...

I would recommend formatting it (reinstalling Windows and deleting everything else). That kind of stuff is unnecessary and should only be there if you want it to. You receive webcam software when you buy a webcam also.

By the way, these could be spyware or malware of some sort. I would just format your new computer.

Most brand name computer manufacturer's load tons of "Trialware" and "Bloatware" on their PCs. The suppliers of the "Bloatware" paid eMachines to have it included. If they didn't, there would be no budget PCs.

Instructions on what and how to remove "Bloatware" are usually posted on the PC manufacturer's website's FAQs or Forums.
