Dynex Desktop Web Camera - Not Passing Windows Logo Test?

I got this webcam as a gift before college to keep in touch with family and friends. It would be a waste to never use it, and so I tried installing it recently. However, a number of complications occurred.

The installation disk that came with the webcam left me with this message: "The software you are installing has not passed Windows Logo testing to verify its compatibility with Windows XP."

I didn't know if the driver was the problem, or if it was the overall software that didn't work. I downloaded the updated driver from the the Dynex website, and I still got the same logo message.

I'm not about to press "Continue anyway," when there's a huge bold paragraph warning me that my computer could have considerable damage in the future if I do.

What's odd is that I checked the site, and it says that this product should support Windows XP.

Is there any way I can get this to work? What steps should I take?

Just click 'continue anyways' i would, it says that to me on a few things i download and install and nothing ever happens.
