HELP PLEASE!!! camera troubles.....?

Ok, well i got this camera from wal-mart probably about 2 years ago. And it really is not a good camera AT ALL, its 2.1 mega pixels. Anyways like i said i got it 2 years ago so, it came with a little book, to tell you about it and stuff. But i threw it away sometime along the way. And i left it alone for awile but i just got it out today, and put some new batterys in it, and took some good pics. But anyways, getting to the point, i want to download pictures and i have the cable to plug in my computer and everything, the only thing i need help with is because it says i have to install software....
WHAT SOFTWARE? and i threw away the booklet which probably said about the software. :[
PLEASE HELP i really want to down load pics, but that software................ HELP

You forgot to mention what brand your camera is. Visit the website of your camera company to see if they offer a free download version of the required software (most of them do, but not all).
If that doesn't work, check if your camera uses a memory card. With memory cards, you can buy a $10 'card reader' (from any electronics store or camera shop). Then remove the memory card from your camera, insert it into the card reader, and attach the card reader to your computer with a usb-cable (the cable is included with the card reader itself.) This way you don't need any additional software - you can view and copy the pictures using Windows Explorer.

You can download the software off of the camera manufacturer's web site. If that is too much bother you can simply take the memory card out of the camera and put it in the appropriate slot of your computer without using their software.
