I just bought a Kodak digital camera. I want to upload my photos WITHOUT having to use the Easyshare software.

when i go to my computer my camera is not there

If your camera is plugged into the computers USB port and you have the camera turned on , just use your file manager (my computer) to move the image files from the cameras memory card (now a removable drive) to your computer .. drag and drop.

If this is all too crazy making, just spend $10 and buy a card reader and be done with it.

Try Windows Explorer. All mine show up as Removable Disks.

I don't know what model you have, but you should be able to remove the flash card from the camera and if you have a new enough computer (last two or three years) you hopefully have a slot for that card (if not, you can buy one) and it will appear as another drive and you can just copy the pictures off.

Try putting the disc back into your PC the one that came with the camera and delete it then re-download the disc again.
And see if that helps you find your camera. If it works then, go out and buy a external USB card reader for you chip. Take your removable chip to Radio Shack and show them your chip and they should have what you need. This way you can do away with Easyshare
