Whats the best printer to have to print out pictures using my digital camera?!? |
I have a Canon Powershot A540 and i would like a really good printer for my pictures. preferably with a scanner. Also does anyone know of any good programs that would help me out with my photography? Thanks:) I have had my Epson Stylus Photo RX620 for about a year now and I am still very happy with it. I have had an HP photo printer as well as a Canon photo printer and the Epson is miles better than either of them. (I can't vouch for CURRENT HP or Canon, but I still chose the Epson when I went shopping.) I can highly recommend the RX620 as a scanner and printer. The scanner is simply great for prints, but do not try to scan film or slides with it. It's barely passable in that function. Epson has the RX620 with instant rebate for a final price of $129.99. http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/store/consu... They are cutting the price, because they have the new "ultra high definition" RX580 on the market now, which is available for $179.99. http://www.epson.com/cgi-bin/store/consu... They have a couple of cheaper ultra high def printers, but I don't think they include scanners. I have an espson printer for my photos. It is the best. I love it. It is easy to use. It doesn't have a scanner, but it really is easy if you are just trying to print out pictures. A good program is adobe it is great! http://dealmac.com/deals/epson-picture-m... I swear by my Ipixma by Cannon. Cannon made the Ipixma series for photography purposes. The one I have is unbelievable. You will not be dissapointed by this printer. you can't beat adobe photoshop and works great with scanners, but a high learning curve. You can pick one up with a discount if you are a student around $150. for general 4x6 photos the canon selphy is great. This use dye sublimation for prints. It looks exactly like lab processed prints. For larger prints these printers use ink. You will see dots when you look through a loupe. I prefer the hp because the print head is attached directly to the ink cartridge. Everytime you change an empty ink cartridge, you get a new head. Epson has great images but if the head fails or gets clogged then repair is expensive. It is best to get another new printer than fixing it. I know from experience. Canon pixma are great too. But you also have to do your research on these too. Some have heads on the cartridges and some are permanently fixed to the printer. Good luck! I would suggest the new hp printer. It;s the VIVERA ONES' IT'S SUPPOSE TO BE THE BEST QUALITY PRINTER THERE IS .. HP PHOTOSMART C3 180 ,,,WITH VIVERA HP INKS i got it for 50.00 but bacuuse i got it with my new computer, but alone i think it's 100.00 it's a copier, scanner, printer I GOT IT AT RADIOSHACK, I GET ALL MY STUFF THERE Take it or leave it...The technology is not here yet for at home affordable printers. The ink is very high, and it very difficult to get a consistency of contrast. Black and white photos are nearly impossible to print. You still cannot beat a digital photo lab. Also, no matter what the home printer manufactures say, the photos will not last as long, and in 10 years-the digital enhancing-retouching industry will be booming because all the faded pictures. Ok, now I'll get off my soapbox- the EPSON printers seem to be the best bet. |
