Now there is digital photography is the memory of our great grandmothers going to be just a jpg in a folder ? The problem with digital photography is that so few people actually make prints of their images. And the colour prints that get done in those machines will not have the half life of a black and white image printed on fibre based paper. We still have images from the1850's, will colour printed images last as long? I doubt it. sad i know x Why not? Yes. And they will be outdated by then. Its a lot safer to store things on CD, DVD, etc... then photos in a box. Plus, you can always go back and print, reprint, and over print any favorite photos you have for any occasion. Before digital photography how was it easier or safer to save pictures? It really wasn't. There is still a place for prints. Unless people are really good about it and back up their hart drives and move all their images with every upgrade and new computer images will be lost. That is the day you wish you had a print. Look out below, sappy alert. |
