I am really into photography and am wanting to buy my first good camera...I want a digital SLR...? |
What kind of camera do you recommend and what kind of lenses? I want to take pictures of dogs, flowers, and people...I really like when their is a main subject and then the background is out of focus. I also want something that I can take pictures of things in motion without it getting blurry...any ideas I also would like to stay under $800 For $650 you can get a Nikon D50 with a Nikon 18-55mm zoom. Add $100 for a 2GB Sandisk Extreme lll memory card and you've got a good camera, well within budget. If you don't mind going a little over budget, replace the 18-55mm lens with the much better Nikon 18-70mm zoom. (And perhaps economise a bit by getting only a 1GB Sandisk Ultra ll card.) The Canon 350D and Nikon D70 are also tempting, but your money is better spent on upgrading the lens - that's what determines your image quality. Cannon eos digital rebel. I have taken mine all over the world and it is a GREEAT camera. Lots of lenses available. http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/contro... Go with a Canon. Go with as high of MEGApixel as you can buy for that price. Canon holds the most patents in imaging technology over any company in the world. For good reason. You could even buy a used one. You want one with a high OPTICAL zoom. Disregard digital zoom - you can do that with your computer. Good luck! Canon USA, research & experience You don't need to get a top of the range one just make sure it has manual controls so that you can set the shutter speed and aperture you want. You also want one with a good lens with a wide maximum aperture. That will allow you to take pictures with the background out of focus Setting a fast shutter speed will allow you to take fast motion pictures without them being blurred. I purchased a Fuji fine pix 5.2 meg it is a wonderful camera for the money. You can get the same camera in 9 meg. I payed 310$ for my camera and I think the 9 meg was around 600 $. I've seen pictures from other brands and used some professional cameras and for the money you can't do any better. |
