Good Camera for Amateur Stock Photography? |
What would be a good camera to get for doing amateur digital stock photography. I want something affordable that will provide me with a high enough resolution to sell them as stock photos. Could I pull it off with even a simple camera, like a cybershot or something? Alot of camera shops would probably try to get you to buy the latest and greatest. But last years latest and greatest was just fine for what you want to do, and the pictures they took 3 years ago, with a 6 megapixell camera, is still sold at stock photography sites. They are still good pictures. My point is, if you can find someplace that has a Canon Digital Rebel (the one that came out before the XT or the XTi), or Nikons digital camera of an era gone by, or what ever manufacturer you like, then you can usually get a pretty good deal on it. What you are really going to want to spend some money on is some nice glass. Stock photo sites are going to want as close to perfection as they can get when it comes to composition. After all, when your looking at that ad for Coke, it's the models stunning eyes thats going to catch your attention, not the fact that it was shot on a Fuji camera. Source(s): http://www.bhphotovideo.com/bnh/controll... when going to this link ignore the mamiya camera, its in the thousands. Get a Canon S3. You can get it for around $300 or less now and it is quite nice for the price. Unless you want to go the DSLR route, you would be hard pressed to find a better bang for buck, quality camera. See link for tons of shots taken with it. http://www.dcresource.com/forums/showthr... Any camera made by Fuji Film. |
