I wanted to get a career in digital photography such as sporting events or nature scenes. But the school that teaches it is EXTREMELY expensive. I was wondering if a career in photography pays good to make a good living on.
If you're really good and you live in an area where it's in demand. If you live in a small town you probably won't get a lot of work. Plus you have to put quite a bit of money out to get started... I have a friend who's done this and it's only his second job right now. You can go to your local news paper and give them your name as a freelance photographer... which means if you go to an event and take some good photos they might buy them from you and print them in the paper. That's a good way to start to see if other's are interested in buying your photos... they may offer you a position after seeing a lot of your work... but they might have a requirement for you to be certified. |
