I want to buy a Digital Camera which I can use for professional photography later. My Budget is ~20K?

I am in Mumbai, India. Please tell the stores where Camera is available.

If you plan to do professional photography at some point, you will need a digital SLR (Single Lens Reflex). A good starter camera is the Canon Rebel Xt, which is available in the US for about $600. Since it is part of the Canon EOS system, you can upgrade the lenses, and later upgrade the bodies, and all of them will work together.

If your budget is actually $20,000 (US dollars), then you have any number of options open, and you can pretty much afford the top-of-the-line Canon or Nikon.

Find a good camera store, go in, and see what kind of service they offer, and get advice from them.
am sorry but what do you mean about 20 k ???
if you please try to mention it by US Dollar .. anyway check these websites :

The best place for reviews of Digital cameras that I've found is this spot:

For professional photography you'll need a digital SLR camera, and a website I found for placing your photography portfolio / stock images will only accept you to their site if you're camera is at least 11Megapixels.
Assuming by 20k you mean't 20,000 Indian Rupees, which is about 拢236 according to the currency converter at XE.com it's gonna be a bit of a tall order, if not impossible... as cheapest ones I've seen cost nearly twice that.

Looks like your best bet would probably to have a hunt around on Ebay India for a good 2nd-hand one: http://www.ebay.in
But even the cheapest ones there seem to be averaging about 25k-75k+ when I looked a couple of minutes ago.
im not sure wether its available in mumbai, but im pretty sure you can buy it in any big electronics stores, or if not; you should have no problem ordering it on ebay. my advice is the Cyber-shot庐 DSC-H5 Digital Camera. it costs $500 very cheap for what it offers!!!

it offers:
7.2 Megapixel Super HAD鈩?CCD:
Higher megapixels gives you more detail and definition for large prints and cropping in on your subject. Sony鈥檚 advanced Super HAD (Hole Accumulated Diode) CCD design allows more light to pass to each pixel, increasing sensitivity and reducing noise.

Carl Zeiss庐 12X Optical/2X Digital Zoom/24X Total Zoom:
12X Optical Zoom helps the DSC-H5 bring distant subjects closer and lets you frame shots for better composition; Sony鈥檚 precision 2X Digital Zoom provides an additional 2X magnification to zoom in close without jagged edges.

57X Smart Zoom鈩? Feature:
Sony's Smart Zoom feature lets you magnify your subject beyond the 12x optical zoom - to 16x (5MP), 18x (3MP), even 57x (VGA). By intelligently cropping into the central portion of the scene, it avoids the image distortion of other digital zooms.

Super SteadyShot庐 Optical Image Stabilization:
Super SteadyShot庐 Optical Image Stabilization fights motion blur, even during longer exposures at full zoom.

Flexible Exposure Modes:
Choose Auto or Program Auto for convenience, or get creative with Aperture Priority or Shutter Priority modes. Manual Exposure Mode provides extended control with 46-step adjustable Shutter speed (30 - 1/1000 sec.), and Aperture control (F2.8 - F8.0).

Large 3.0" 2 LCD Screen:
The DSC-H5 has a bright 3.0" LCD screen for setting up and viewing images -- with a one touch 鈥?Play" button that makes it quick and easy to view your photos.

Simple Controls, Function Guide:
User-friendly controls and simple on-screen Function Guide text/icon display help you set up camera functions -- and you鈥?ll have greater creative freedom to adjust color mode (including 鈥淣atural" for subtle colors and 鈥淩ich" for more intense colors), sensitivity, brightness and image size.

High Sensitivity Mode:
A new High Sensitivity Mode (ISO 1000) allows you to shoot with great results in low-light conditions -- and Sony鈥檚 original Clear RAW NR鈩?(Noise Reduction) image processing technology helps suppress the color noise that can accompany high-sensitivity shooting.

Stamina庐 Battery Power:
With its powerful Nickel Metal Hydride (NiMH) rechargeable batteries, the DSC-H5 can capture up to 3403 images per charge -- enough for a week of shooting. The compact BC-CS2 Battery Charger is also supplied for battery recharging on the go.

Capture Images In-Camera:
With 32 MB4 Internal Memory, the DSC-H5 allows you to shoot without a flash memory card --then transfer your images to optional Memory Stick Duo鈩?media, upload to your computer or make prints on your digital printer.

Memory Stick Duo鈩?Media:
The DSC-H5 has a built-in slot for optional Memory Stick Duo鈩?or higher-capacity Memory Stick PRO Duo鈩?media -- the ultra compact media for shooting, storing and sharing your photo images.

all you need in just one camera!!!with this baby you can go pro!!!

If you're looking to use it for professional photography, I'm assuming studio and outdoor use, you'll probably need to get a DSLR for the response speed, interchangable lenses etc.. the professional features.

Cheapest I know of now is the Pentax Dist* which is probably around US$600 ish. If your budget is US$20k then you'll have a lot more options. If it's 20k indian rupees (roughly US$450) then it would be a tough call.
Canon Powershot series
or Sony Cybershots, they are excellent cameras good image resolutions and qualities.
