Wedding photography - photo prints or CD or both? |
For a typical wedding, which photography production is more common/most used/easy/etc, digital photography via CDs or prints? or a mixture of both? What was/will be your photography for your wedding? I would do a mixture of both, let the photographer print a few photo's for you that you plan to frame or give as gifts, THEN get a CD with all the proofs (copyright released to you) so you can print or copy the CD whenever you want. This is the package that I am getting from my photographer plus a $75 photo credit from them. Yes film photography is traditional but the digital is making a big splash in the photography world. As long as your photographer uses a 6 or 7 megapixal camera you should have excellent quaility pictures. This will allow you to have larger prints without any blurriness or poor quality pictures. If your photographer is offering you a CD of your proofs that is a good deal! Source(s): I do photography as a hobby and also work at a print company that prints alot of pictures for various clients. We had our wedding shot in film and digital, and we retained ownership of the photos. This is very important. We have CD's of our photos and we have them online as well. You can negotiate your own deal with your photographer. Best wishes! I do Wedding Photography, and I give them both. Everyone wants actual prints, and it's quick and cheap to give them a CD as well. You are really going to want to have prints for an album, and for it to be portable to show people readily. As a semi profession photographer, I would suggest getting a CD and then pick out what portraits you want printed. Be sure to have them printed through your photographer for 2 reasons: He did the work and deserves your business and quality life time prints are NOT produced at your local Walgreen's or walmart store! I'm getting an album, digital files on CD, digital images on a wedding website, AND all my prints. |
