Best Digital Camera for sports photography? |
Looking for the latest and greatest and is also good for potraits I use the Canon EOS 10D. It has all the fun little features that the other cameras listed have, though it is only 6 Megapixels. What makes it particularly good for sports photography, though, is the fact that it is one of the few digital cameras that can be set for a 3200 ISO. This means that it can capture things twice as fast as cameras that can only go up to 1600. At a professional baseball game, I stopped 90+ mph pitches to where you could see the stitching on the ball. That is fast, and with sports photography, fast is what you need. You can still buy these wonderful little cameras at used websites like http://www.keh.com . I bought mine with two lenses and paid about $1100 including shipping. Source(s): Professional photographer dont know Canon mark II (22+MP) If you are going to be far from the action, get at least a 400mm lens, for up close and portraits, get a 14-200mm lens, it is a great all around lens. I have a HP digital camera (the one u use to see in the cool commercial with the pictures) anyways, I use it everyweek in my stepsons soccer games and it work fantastic, it also shoots great videos and u can choose between ur pixels (5 the higest) myself experience Sure the Canon Mark II is great if you want to spend a fortune and you make your living taking pictures. If you want something that is fast and you can grow with, spend about $1000 on a Nikon D70s. It is fast enough to do continuous shooting and it has a buffer that will allow you to hold down the shutter and capture great sequences. The camera with give you a lot of auto features on top of all the normal manual settings. Great reviews online and in the magazine too - that's what I use. |
