What is the diff between apperature and shutter speed in digital photography? |
What is the diff between apperature and shutter speed in digital photography? apeture is how wide it opens and shutter speed is how fast it opens and shuts. Apeture is how large the hole that lets light in is. Shutter speed is how long the apeture is open. one is the time light is let in the other is how much light. apperature is the size of the hole that lets light in, like the pupil of your eye . . . shutter speed is how fast the shutter opens and closes - like how fast you might blink. aperature is how much light is allowed in the camera (like your iris of your eye)-contold depth of field. shutter speed controls exposure and blur/frozen action I am stupid.., but I can give you this much.., Aperture is the size of the opening.., shutter speed is just that, but another way to control the amount of light in. If using a faster speed , you may open your aperture up larger.., and vise-versa, Shutter speed is how fast the lens is open for, and aperture is how much light is allowed in. For instance if you were taking a photo of formula one cars, you would need a high shutter speed, (to prevent blurring,) and a low to medium aperture, depending on light conditions. If you were taking a night photo, you would need a slow shutter speed, and a high aperture for the lighting conditions to give enough exposure of the subject. This rule applies to all photography, whether you are using a film camera or a digital camera. |
