Is there a way to make money through digital photography? |
Is there a way to make money through digital photography? Yes! I do started my own company and its great. saylorstudios.com. i doubt ill live off it though Certainly, but there's also millions of other photographers who are wanting to do the same thing. There's weddings, portraits, stock photography, galleries. Most of those still involve prints, but there's plenty of ways to make money. Yes, but it will take some time and effort. I have been doing this for 6 months, taking pictures for about 10 years now and have yet to make a dime. I have had my work published in the newspaper and was able to solicit a freelance job through craigslist, that was canceled on short notice, so I almost made it. I have looked at shutterstock but sadly my photo's do not meet their 4 megapixel requirement...I applied for a job as a production photographer but was up against 30-40 other applicants. But this is rural Maine that we are talking about and I do believe that it would be easier somewhere else. So yes there are many ways, all of which require time and commitment. Try selling greeting cards! Yes, very much so. But you are in great competition as the digital camera has opened the door to ameteur eyes with great equipment. The amount of competition on Getty Images and iStockphoto, etc, should be enough to know that you won't get paid much for what others will do for cheaper. yes! the most photographed subject in the world are people. People shell out money all the time to have their pictures taken. I love taking picture of people and I am making a career out of it. Starting off, it's a little rough, but it will pay off in the long run. Yes, take pictures of items and list them on Ebay. If you mean CREATE money, then you wish. But if you mean EARN money, I'm pretty sure. You could display some stuff online, sell some prints, the usual. |
