When will this photography craze end?

Basically I'm ranting about the entire myspace generation thing its completly driving me nuts to see all these photoshoped kids dancing around flower pots playing pretend. When you google anything photography all you get is crap. Damn you tom.

This is the age of fantasy.

Many of the movies and games are built around our fantasies. I think this trend in photography is just a sign of the times and a follow-on from the fantasy world many young people are absorbed in.

I just got my grandchildren their first digicams. (They are 8 and 6.) Several of the 6 YO's first photos are self portraits held at arm's length, lol. They are having a blast and doing pretty good for their age. Pretend is good for kids (and adults, too, sometimes) I agree, the digital photography revolution has brought lots of crappy photos to be admired by the masses, but there is a lot of good work happening, both digital and film. Try looking at Photo.net instead of myspace. I think you'll be better satisfied with the overall quality of the presentations.

Translation: Ignore those who annoy you and concentrate on your own photography.

The time you've wasted looking at "... the entire myspace generation...'' could have been spent reading an article about photography and learning to improve yourself.

I don't like photoshoped pictures.
I hardly edit mine, I just crop and edit the contrast.

Mayhap you should try something other than google. You'll probably get better results that way. ^^;;;;

Perhaps they should all go back to their video games??

Actually, I think it's great that the kids are so free to express themselves.
