What can I do with my photography?

Hi guys - I'm a 23 year old female and I really enjoy photography. I don't have the best camera but I've got some amazing photos of great quality that I've taken over the past several years - most are of nature/scenery around the New England area (in all seasons). I'd really like to sell my photography to local magazines or brochures but have no idea where to start. Even if I didn't make money from the pictures, I'd like to have them published in some way.

Any tips/suggestions/thoughts??

Find out the file sizes required by the magazines you are interested in submitting to,

www.deviantart.com is a good start. You can upload all the pictures you have there (they have their own watermark so you need not worry about picture stealing) and get some critique from users there. It is a real helpful site and that is where I started.

Then you can try jpgmag.com. Every month they give out three categories and you can upload your pictures and if yours get chosen you will win a subscription to their magazine for a year, 100USD and the picture will be published.

This article might also be able to help you. I found it interesting.

I dont have an answer to your question, but its a really good one because im wondering the same thing, hope someone has an answer to this though.
