What is a good major for someone who has some experience in film, stop motion animation, and photography...?

Likes to be challenged.
Good with deadlines.
Likes computers.
Likes editing and conceptual work with above.

I'm looking for a major that would be good for me in college (preferably four year).

Hi, you sound like somebody who would do well in 3D animation.

I've got friends who are trained exactly like you and they are now doing very well as animators and doing really fantastic stuff.

You can pick up some good resources from my blog pertaining animation here http://blog.media-freaks.com/

I think that film, or film & tv production, or even animation would be very good fits for you. You may also like broadcast design/motion graphics (which is designing the credits and etc. for films and tv) or digital media. Visual effects. Website design may also be a good fit. Interactive media and game development. Any one of these would take advantage of everything you listed: film, animation, photography, challenges, deadlines, computers, editing, conceptual work, etc.

I'll link to one school's website, not because they're the greatest school in these fields (so don't take this link as an endorsement), but because they offer most of these majors, and if you click on each one, it'll give you a description:

If you are serious about it...like totally serious...film school. I like doing film work but lack the knowledge and experience. I love editing...if I had the money to go to film school- would start there. You get more education in that field but also connections that are valuable to where you'll want to be when you finish.

best of luck...don't give up either.
