What do you think of these portraits of my cousin I took for my photography class? |
I took these pictures last year(my first year in photo) im in it again this year. I was just curious what people thought of them. The baby is my cousin he was 1 1/2 when the pictures were taken. The pictures were all done in film then scanned onto my computer. First of all he is gorgeous. And secondly, they're really nice photo's. I like them because they have a certain honesty about them. Not overdone like some photography. My favourite is number 4, but I think it would be perfect if you cropped the image to remove the black at the right side, so he was on the edge of the frame. Keep up the work and good job :) his one side in most of the shots is a little dark. a fill light of some sort could have been used on that side in a subtle way to give just a touch more detail and not so much shadow. i like the sepia tone to them. and there are no places that are really blown out. i'd say overall they are fairly good. the one with the candy cane is really cute, he looks like a little godfather saying: "it's just business, business is business, nothing personal" just looked at the first and last one they are all adorable. They look a little pixelated, but I'm assuming thats only because they're scanned. Not bad for a beginner, you're on your way. I thought the candy cane was one of those skinny rawhide chews, lol! Keep it up and enjoy your second year classes! HE IS SO CUTE! And those are great! Make sure you print these and put them away for him, he'll really appreciate these when he's older...esp for a senior personal :D Nice poses, good lighting but they all look soft to me. They look as though your focus was just a little off. the candy cigar shot rocks. 2nd and 3rd! hes so cute! haha i love the third one. they are very good, good job. |
