I wanted to give a Rabbi a gift, a photo of his family framed, do Orthodox familes have framed photos? |
Is it ok to give him a picture in a frame? A professional photographer took a very nice pic of him with his family at the closing ceremony for a class he taught and I thought framing it and giving it to him as a gift would be nice. The only problem is I once visited the home of an Orthodox Rabbi(his wife was teaching a class) and they had no photos. I am not Orthodox but the Rabbi I am buying the gift for is. I don't know if photos in the home is acceptable. I wanted to buy it today and give it to him at a Chanukah party. Yes, of course. Just be sure the people are dressed modestly. yes. they are families too. many orthodox houses i've been to have family photographs all over. that is a very nice idea. They may display them in a hall or family room but family photos are always treasured. Good choice!
