What to do with very nice, very sentimental photo album? |
I have this really nice Italian leather photo album given me by my mother as an engagment present and am wondering what to do with it! I always (since the age of 8 or so) wanted to have it, and as I matured, invisioned it as our wedding album. Unfortunately, our wedding really... well... sucked. Several family members took it upon themselves to destroy what we both worked so hard to create by cancelling vendors that they weren't even paying for, etc. In addition, our professional photographer's camera broke before the wedding started and she used my friends (pro) camera -- and did a horrendeous job. My hubby and I are professional photographers and I just CAN'T use that wonderful album for those pictures, haha. We didn't take a honeymoon right after the wedding because we purchased our first house (we did have a mini-moon over our first anniversary weekend, but have already scrapbooked the pictures), and as I said, we are not having kids. What about the pictures that represent what you and him are as a couple. Pictures that unite you, or that hold special memories to you. Maybe it's pictures of your childhoods that made you who you are today and that may have made you find your special person. Also maybe you could slowly collect pictures of trips and events that you hold near and dear to you and your husband. Things that keep you in love with your husband. That way years down the road you will have a story to tell to your friends and family that may also make a good book. Maybe you could even renew your vow on your 10 years anniversary or something, or even 5th and then use those pictures in that albulm. Especially if you do that every so often, it could be the story of your love, and the great marriage thereof. Photos of your first child if you're planning on any? Or of the honeymoon? you can still make the most of that album. gather all the photos your photographer and your guests have and create a digital storybook of your wedding. |
