Question about wedding photography???? Please help!? |
I am worried about how to do my pictures me and my fiance really do not want to see each other before the ceremony just because we think it would be even more special. My photographer says she will take all the pictures that she can before the ceremony and then do the rest after like with me and him and the families...but I want to come out of the church after the ceremony and have the bubbles and everything...then do we go back in and take pictures while everyone else travels to the reception site?? How should I do this?? I don't want to make everyone wait to long but I want to get all the pictures that I can....any suggestions??? If this is the way you want it, your guests will have to wait at the reception site for you. Try and have some little entertainment and snacks for them for when they do get there. Have the minister make and announcement during the ceremony that you will be having the family and couple pictures immediately following the ceremony. Good Luck & Congrats! Do the bubbles and all, and drive away, but just come back in 20 minutes. All the guests should have moved to the reception area by then. It's quite common for the bride and groom to show up a little late to the reception. What you describe is how it is done. They go to the reception and start drinking while you have your photos taken. That is why at most receptions there are appetizers and drinks first. Starts at 5 dinner at 6. You are there in time for the start of the dinner and they announce your arrival. Make 'em wait. That's the way it is done. I just went to a wedding over the weekend and we waited a while for them to finish pictures. Everyone expects to wait...and thats why you have drinks and finger food at the reception! Good luck and congrats!! do the photo with the bubbles send everyone to the reception site for the cocktail hour and take the rest of your pictures. I opted to take as many as possible before hand so I could enjoy every second of my reception Extend your cocktail hour... and give enough time for your pictures. Make sure your guest don't have more then 1/2 hour overlap if the reception is close or maybe a family member can host a cocktail hour at their house?? My aunt did that for her daughter. We decided to have the pictures done before the wedding for this exact reason. Here's what we're doing.... We're taking as many photos as we can seperately before the ceremony. Then we'll have the ceremony. We'll excuse our guests and make our exit with the bubbles. The photographer can capture that "bubble moment" then. Head back into the church for the rest of the photos, and then to the reception site. Guests are going to wait regardless. Don't stress too much. It's your wedding, and photos are a big part. |
