What do you look for when shopping for a digital camera? |
I am a college student, and i was looking into buying a new digital camera. I am no photographer so I am just looking for something small to fit into my purse to take pictures of friends and family. I was looking at the Kodak EasyShare 8.0MP Digital Camera or the Casio Exlim 10.1 MP. I dont know which is better for me though. i would appreciate some opinions!!!!!!! First and foremost I look for image quality. Also a camera that takes no more than 1 second delay between shots. Image stabilizer if possible. Manual controls which I use 90% of the time. A camera that's at least above average on battery life. Depending on my shooting habits how much optical zoom. Last, a camera with 5 megapixels or more. With all of the above price is major concern. It looks like you have a good start Get one that uses SD memory cards, Li-ion batteries, at least a 3x optical zoom and one with Image Stabilization (IS) DigiPro the higher the MP (mega pixel) the better the camera you honestly dont need that much quality for your purposes. i have a 2 MP camera on my phone and that is fine for me for the same purposes... http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_ss_e/102-... Your selection is good. Things to look out when you buy a digital camera are : Battery: Li-Ion Rechargeable Digital Camera Battery Resolution : Minimum of 2 Mp. Optical zoom : Minimum of 3x (Optional) Auto Focus recomended for beginners. Do not shake the camera while shooting. (now a days Image stabilizer is enabled on all latest cameras). Enjoy your college life with your camera. Concentrate on studies too. |
