Should I fly to Italy? |
One of our photographers went to Italy to visit his family and I recently found out I'll probably never see him again because he's got a court date in Italy and he's going to miss his court date in California, meaning he will never be allowed back in the country. I miss him and I never thought that the last hug I gave him at the airport would seriously be the last hug. I said "ritorno presto" and now he can't. If you can afford it, why the heck not!!!! Maybe you've already been there, and because I already have, I would take any opportunity I could get to go back! Plus it's really cool to be there and be supportive for a friend. no don't go flying off to italy. a court date in italy, a court date in california....sounds like a pattern forming. he probably knew from the beginning he'd never see you again, and to tell the truth, he's probably married and just having an affair while he's in this country. oh, on second thought....yes, DO fly to italy, find out for yourself. just for a test, call him and tell him you are thinking about it and see if he gets excited or starts making excuses. Probably not. Do you want a relationship with this person?You have the good feeling that should be enough. If you want to spend $2,500 (flight cost and loss wages) for a hug go for it. The guy is ultimately responsible for his legal situation. I say you charge him to the game and move on. I don't know... that could be a red flag right there. But you know that it is your choice and if you feel you should fly there, then go for it. n hells yeah |
