Recommend a good photo editing program? |
I know everyone talks about the Photoshop family. Is this really the best or does anyone know of other great programs? I'm a casual photographer who takes pictures as a hobby and has fun manipulating or cleaning them up later. Looking for great editing tools, but nothing that would be needed by a professional. as you're aware of photoshop, and elements, thats at the top of the list, then just as good is corel papnt shop pro and painterx, http://www.corel.com/servlet/satellite/u... http://www.corel.com/servlet/satellite/u... and others http://www.corel.com/servlet/satellite/u... preferably for free are gimp, photobie, and photofiltre, http://gimp-win.sourceforge.net/stable.h... http://www.photobie.com/ http://photofiltre.free.fr/frames_en.htm... others, http://www.snapfiles.com/shareware/gmm/s... .. photo shop Photoshop is really cool.... try da photoshop 7.0 or photoshop cs2 versions..... they sound like professional versions.. but got lots great of tools that u can use 4 casual work too.... Go to www.photofiltre.com download their FREE programme I have Adobe PS and I never use it now. PhotoFiltre is better for me. In addition, I also use ACDSee v8 but that is not free. Ex-pro now retired ADOBE PHOTOSHOP CREATIVE SUITE 2 I love Photoshop! However, before I became really serious about photo editing, I used Roxio Photosuite. http://www.roxio.com/enu/products/photos... I'm a firm believe in Roxio Photosuite. It is a lot simpler than Photoshop and it still gets the job done, turning out professional, quality photos. If you're not planning on doing anything too extravagant, I would recommend Photosuite. The learning curve is also fairly short, while I'm still learning how to use Photoshop! Photosuite was also great because it helped me learn photography jargon before I moved on to more serious editing. However, if you are hoping to become more serious about editing photos, I'd just recomment purchasing Photoshop-- it's almost a necessity. Hope this helps! |
