Who should take the reception pictures?? |
I have decided not to hire a photographer for the reception of my wedding, since they are different days (destination wedding). I have a nice SLR camera but don't want to take pictures myself. Who should take the pictures?? I don't really want to bother my family members, but I guess I could always look for a volunteer. Plus, I don't really want to use those silly disposible cameras, they never look good. Any ideas? Just ask people to bring a camera of their own and someone could use yours for the good ones. Then you can get a bunch of people taking pictures that you would never get. Just make sure they can lend you their memory cards, and give them back at a reasonable time (if you have them do it they most likely will mess it up). Find someone who isn't really interested in the wedding (or weddings in general) and might not want to be there (like a nephew or niece). This will give them something to do and you'll get the photos out of it. i would ask a close friend to do it. chances are they will be more than willing because wedding receptions do get boring for guests. I say make that a job for the best man to figure out! You've got enough to worry about, this is something that he could find a volunteer for! Thats my opinion. Well if the colleges aren't out (or high schools) ask the counselors to recomend a Photography student. Yes you'd have to pay something, but not too much and it would give them good experience. find someone willing...like a friend. i dont know what to tell you buddy, just ask a friend or some bored teenager Find a good friend who does good photos. Most people will have at least ONE in their circle -- or know someone who knows someone that will do it for cheap or a free meal. My bride's maid did it for me. She does some really nice work and I have a great album from her shots. |
