Senior pictures? |
im getting senior pictures in the next couple months i have all this information and packets about places around me but im not sure whats a good price i dont want to spend like 1,000$ on pictures im only getting some for my family at my grad party,and my closest friends what should i look for in a photographer and what is a good amount to spend for them. thanks Photographers tend to take advantage of seniors and their parents because they know the parents are proud and they will be able to get more out of them. There are many tricks to do this. (One a photographer I worked for would print a large 20" x 24" picture of the customer and place it in his window for everyone to see. The parents did not order it he did. He would put it in a big expensive frame. The parents almost always bought it because it made them feel special that everyone saw their child in the window.) I would suggest you set a budget. The photographer I worked for would charge about $45.00 to take the pictures, after that it was up to you. Another suggestion would be to try your local college and find some people who want to be a photographer. They need the practice and you can end up getting a lot more pictures. Choose a good photographer, make them show you their work. Tell them what you want if they aren't flexible or you don't like their style find someone else. Remember becoming a senior is only the first step, don't break your parents before you start college!! = ) Source(s): Worked at a photography studio 3 years Most places, the more pic's you buy, and the more poses you get, the more it costs. If you get, say, 30 or 40 pictures with 2 or 3 poses, it should probably be under $500. The high schools around here have certain photographers that they recommend for this. Usually one or two and this is who they have to go to and are always good and reputable. go for web page and collect the maximum.o.k. good luck Around where I live I used to do senior photos for people and I would shoot it digitally and give them a disk, normally 5 poses and all the images sized to 5x7 8x10 and wallets. Most of the people I worked for would upload them to a web site and let who ever wanted them to download them and print them themselves. You can take a disk to a pro lab and getthe photos you want printed out and the shoot itself shouldn't cost too much. I charged $200 for the shoot session and the disk and that covered 1 1/2 hours of shoot time. Hope this helps. |
