Do you have to have a witness at your wedding in Texas?

We are getting married in Austin, Texas and since our family and friends live so far away, the only people besides us will be the officiant and photographer. I knew you had to have a witness sign the marriage liscense but I need to know if you have to have one at the actual wedding.

the wedding certificate is signed AFTER the ceremony !! and yes a witness has to sign it, in ALL states... it can be signed by the officiant or photographer, just as long as they are of legal age... God bless
you need a witness for a wedding anywhere for them to sign the registrar document to actually say you got married.but any one can be a witness complete strangers or the photographer just need some one to say they saw you get married!good luck and congratulations
