Decryption of CD-R? |
I have a CD-R disc with precious photographs on which is encrypted . I have no idea what type of encryption but can anyone tell me if I can download some free software to decrypt the disc and where.Will I need a special program to run the decryption software? It was encrypted by a photographer who is no longer around and these are the only photos we have of a very important family event. Thanks for your help as I am not very IT minded.!! yes u can ,first find the type of encryption, see the extension (8888.zip etc..)see weather it is a .zip or any other,and search in google for software related to that extension.mail me if u get it...bey http://www.freedownloadscenter.com/utili... i think you have had it! even if you knew the software he encrypted it with, you would need to know what password he used to lock it with! you may be able to make an exact copy of the disk with clone CD or another type of re writer that uses raw data but i wouldn't bet on it as another idea, play the CD on your TV/PC and copy it with a DVD recorder - just a thought but i would have thought the encryption guys would have thought of that too! |
