Should i become a professional photographer and have my own business? |
My Boyfriend is a farmer and i really want a job/career/hobby (whatever you want to call it) that allows me to stay at home once we decide to get married and eventually have a family together. can anyone who knows anything about that industy tell me there opinions, or anything? thank you very much! You could have a studio and office at home. You would be better off farming. Yes, you can make a wonderful profitable business at home in the photographic field. I did. Go to www.startaphotographybusiness.com it will help you get started very inexpensively. Good Luck with your business and family idk if u want to be a photographer ur gonna have to leVE THE FARM LITTLE LAIDY Photography, I think would be an amazing career, but it can be very difficult to get into. I would reccomend buying the book "The Photographers Market", a new one comes out every year, and it gives you a list of magazines, contests, advertising agencies, that are all looking for photos. It lists what kind of photos, how much they pay, and how often they are looking. It will deffinatley help in your pursuit of a photography job. You do not need training to become a photographer but I think that it is imperative that one is passionate about it. If you are passionate, then you will continue to study even after you have learnt the basics. I see too many wedding photographers or event photographers with poor technique however they know enough to get them by short term. Photography depends on your market and the specific type of photography that you go into - high fashion is gonna be hard when you live on a farm, unless a big city is really close by. Must have Bachelor of Arts or PhD in Photography Degree to become Professional Photographer, also have 23 years of experience in Photography Business, not only of that, if you want to be a studio lab, selling cameras and accessories or industry photography business, you must have a lot of money to buy a shop, know a lot of VIP persons in you country.Good Luck to you. |
