Could I model?

Even when I was little and growing up all through the years and even now, all kinds of people told me that I should really be a model. Friends, Family, Photographers, Teachers, Complete Strangers, etc. I am a huge camera hog and LOVE having my picture taken. What do you guys think and does anyone know a good place to look into for it?

You go girl, don't worry about the negative answers models nowadays come in different sizes and shapes, and facially speaking you are prettier than many models around.

Although there are some things that you might want to consider...
Find out about professional modeling schools in your area. I'm not talking about the fly-by-night schools, but rather a school that has been around for a long time and has a good reputation. Sometimes these schools are called, "finishing schools".

You will learn how to dress to flatter your body. They will teach you the proper way to apply make-up. Understanding proper ways to sit, walk and stand will help you become an easier model for the photographer. You will learn how to "feel the light" that is used to illuminate you and "work the pose" for proper lighting on their face and eyes.

No matter what you decide in life it is important to do the best you can. In today's world proper instruction is a must. Attitude is everything if you want to stand out and have people notice you in a positive way. Give more than what is expected of you. Be prompt and respectful.

You'll need a good portfolio, so do some TFP/TFCD stuff first; many photographers are willing to help out a newbie while adding to their own portfolio.
