Hey all ,
When I am older , I would like to acheive a standard in photography - because I can take quite imaginative plus 'sick' photos! But first here's some IMPORTANT questions which would help to be answered to :
1.What catergory in high school/primary school subject would photography(taking photographs on cameras but going to different locations)?
2.Is photography a good pay , when they are displayed in events such as backgrounds for a tv show?
3.Can you get famous being a photographer?
4.What first jobs would relate to this job(photography)?
5.What is the best camera on the market which is up to 拢100.00 ($200.00) - which has a good qualitie of pixels, colour effects, zoom, nice look etc!?
If you have any more ideas for I would like to take this profession seriously when I'm older It would be very good.

1. Photography / Art / Media

5. Save up for a DSLR

Suggestions: Ask your guidance counsellor; get Photographer's Market (google it); marry a rich person ;-)

If you have a genuine passion for photography, becoming famous shouldn't be a factor in your decision to pursue it as a career (and fame wouldn't come without a true passion and talent anyway).

If you are really committed to this goal, then both art AND science subjects will be useful to you. Art, technical drawing etc for your composition and creativity, IT for the digital imagery and manipulation, maths and physics for understanding depth of field, exposure and the way your camera works in general. You may also wish to explore traditional developing and printing techniques as well, in which case chemistry will also serve you well.

If you are really serious about it, you would also probably benefit from a specialist course, such as the BTEC National Diploma in Photography, and a degree or HND in photography after this. Alternative routes would be through General Art & Design and/or Fine Art, depending on what kind of photographer you wanted to be, as these courses also often include photography and would allow you to specialise in the subject.

Good photographs can be taken with cheap cameras, but at the very least you would want one with variable exposure, aperture and focusing... but many digitals of this type can be found for under 拢100, which would suffice in the first instance for you to explore your creative skills, but ultimately you would need an SLR (film or digital) to explore it fully and to demostrate a full understanding of the media and how to control it.
