Fashion week in NY? |
My friend is going because she wants to be a model and some photographer invited her to meet some designers, but I want to go because I want to BE a designer. Is it possible to get tickets? What about hotels? My friend is going to ask the guy who's bringing her if I can come along, but she HIGHLY doubts it. &&Would I even be allowed to go? or is it a 18+ (unless working) Fashion Week shows are invitation only, but with a little luck and a lot of persistence you can sometimes find ways to secure passes. Your best bet is to ask (beg) anyone you know who works in fashion or media. Sometimes people get passes that they aren't going to use. If that doesn't pan out and you are desperate, there are a few posters on craigslist selling tickets. Just know that anything on craigslist is a potential scam and you may be out of some serious cash and still no access to a show. If all else fails, I have heard stories of some folks hanging out at the tents and getting in after all the folks with tickets have been admitted. (Make sure you look the part!) Even if you can't get into a show, your model & photographer friends should at least be able to get you into a party or two as a tag-a-long. Good luck! |
