How do i get into modeling?

i know i need to contact modeling agencies. but what type of look are they looking for? i'm 14 years old. should my photos be more on the commercial side or high fashion? and also should i send snapshots or have a professional photographer take my pics?

and also i sent in my stuff earlier. and i got a callback, and they wanted to make an appointment with me, but it was during a school day. and they said if i got signed with them, that i would need to go to their agency 2 or 3 times a week. during school. because they arent open on weekends. so i would miss a lot of school. does that mean i need to be home schooled in order to do modeling?

If your worried about school, maybe try an indepnedant studies program (where you basically are homeschool but by yourself)=)

I think you should wait until you finish school. That way you would have something to fall back on just in case.

first off, i got into the modeling thing about a year ago and i joined a program called BARBIZON. i then got a letter in the mail after i graduated( which i attended for a year) form BARBIZON asking if i would like to try out for a program called the I.M.T.A.'S ( international model and talent association). i tried out and was picked. i trained for about 6 more months and flew to LOS ANGELES for a competion with judges and other actors and models. I had professional pictures taken though, with the program( IMTA) and they put together a porfolia for me to show agents. i was asked to move to LOS ANGELES by an agent to do some acting but i decided that it wasnt my thing and i didnt want to take some one elses dream or some who had a passion for it, which i later found out that i didnt. i suggest googleling BARBIZON and making appointement with them to audition. Secondly, i think you should wait to quit school and become homeschooled until you have a clearer sight on things that would happen. but, there is money invoveled with these programs. SO, dont think it comes cheap or it is free, but best of luck to you:) i'm sure you'll be fine!
