Photographers.....What Are Good Locations You Could Recommend?

I am a beginning/starter model who is looking to hire a seme-pro photographer for some shots. However, he does not own a studio so I am trying to come up with some common places that the shoot could be held at.

The shoot is specifically for casual, fashion type shots with a head shot.

What could you recommend other than the local park?

Im in Ms.. But I cant arrange travel locations.

Without knowing where you live it is a hard question to answer. The easiest thing to do would be to look at pictures you like and try to find similar places. Fun spots could be Train yards, Old warehouses, Old Barns, A nursery with lots of blooming flowers, a beach, Or just take a hike in the woods and see what comes up, prehaps you will find some old bridges that cross streams, a fallen log etc...

I hope I have given you some ideas. Good luck.

Local parks can be often crowded and have too many distractions

The possibilities for locations are without limit. The first place to start is check the NPS (national park service for large national areas) [Side note, if doing a lot of outdoor photography the national park pass at $80 is a great investment). Also check out state parks. They usually offer a lot of space.

On weekends warehouse districts or commercial areas (beware of trespassing signs, guards, etc) offer a different look. Then there are always railroad bridges and tracks (built in leading lines)

I have seen amazing shoots done at a meat packing plan (even in the freezer, at a farmers market, in the middle of city streets. Sometimes you have to make arrangements with management other times, be more discreet and quick.

Some hotels will let you shoot in their nice lobbies, some businesses will give you a conference room, especially if you shoot a few corporate head shots in return.

My other rule is to be on the lookout while driving around - an old barn or an abandoned car in the field all can make for fun shoot locations.

Where do you live? How far are you willing to travel?

I like to take my models Downtown... city lights, graffiti backgound, club/bar scene, etc.
