What does it take to become a fashion photographer ?

i am just starting photography. but some day i want to make it into the fashion industry. how would i do that?

Get as much education in photography as you can. The goal is to know your camera so well that you don't have to think about f/stops or shutter speeds ... you want it all to be intuitive.

Going to work with a fashion photographer as an assistant for a few years will be another good thing to do.

Spend a lot of time looking at what other fashion photographers are doing. You can go to some of the sites that models and photographers use to network .. One Model Place and Model Mayhem are but two.

I spend an afternoon a month in the magazine section of either B&N or Borders looking at all the fashion magazines getting ideas.
