Old fashioned Leather Camera Cases? |
Does anyone know if the old fashioned camera cases are still available. I do a lot of photography on the beaches and trails etc so have to protect my camera from the sand, dust etc etc.. If I remember correctly, the older type cases could be attached to the camera, much like a sleeve - and the "bit" that covers the lense can be quickly clipped on and off with popper type fasteners - which simply keeps the lense protected without having to keep putting the camera case. I have a canon 350D - Also, am looking for wide angle and powerful zoom lenses - any advice would be most welcome. Many thanks Thanks Photoface for your response - Aside from the case, is there anything else that you can suggest to help me keep the lense from damage. I live in a place called Scarborough, nr, Cape Point, Cape Town where there have been multiple arson fires that have burnt many houses, informal shacks, and more importantly, our Conservation Area - Baboons in our houses, Turtles with their babies literally scorched where they stood. I'm always in the midst of all this, incl the thick smoke, ash etc - my camera is not fairing well. Is there an option of adding a filter lense of some sort that acts as a protector for the main lense? I need to buy new lenses as I mentioned above but the damage that the debris etc causes makes me reticent to spending money on them - and all I really want are some good lenses.??? http://www.google.com/products?q=canon+3... You might be able to find an old one that might sort of fit the 350D. I'm pretty sure they aren't still available. But they have some pretty nice looking cases for new cameras. What you are wanting does exist, though in a 21st century sense. It is called Camera Armor. Looks pretty cool and really protects the camera, while still allowing you to access functions.
