Going to chicago. any suggestions? |
my mom and i are taking the amtrak to chicago for a short trip during my spring break. if you have any suggestions besides all the usual tourist places (sears tower, navy pier ect), like places with unique clothes, quirky shops, good resteraunts, cafes, sushi bars and just fun places to visit, i'd love to hear them. I have a feeling you would like the artistic/student neighborhoods. Check out Lincoln Park (boutiques, cafes) or Millenium Park. Art Institute's right next door. There's also University Village. If you're there, stop by Joy Yee's Noodles. Even if you're not into Asian food, you'll like the smoothies. Stop by Second City Theatre, famous comedy and improv shows. Water Tower on Michigan Ave, of course. Downtown on the main strip, shopping is awesome! Check out Gino's Pizzaria! Awesome cheese pizza deep dish.. .it's about 2 inches thick! The auto show might still be going on. if you go around St. Patrick's day, they actually dye the water green. it's kinda cool, if it's not frozen lol! have fun! |
