Topic Ideas for Photography?

Im a senior in High school doing my senior project about photography as part of the project I have to write a paper about my topic and a letter of intent and I can't think of a good topic. I am a dude so no fashion stuff.

Maybe you could write about peoples attatchments to photographs and how they help replace memories.

"Pictures are worth 1000 words" maybe use that as an opener.

How about 'women in photography', think of it a being good for the soul. LOL

Photography helped jump start the environmental movement with Adams and Muir. Photography also turned the tide against the Vietnam war. A couple of ideas.

have you considered someone like Edward Steichen or Alfred Eisenstaedt?

Perhaps Margaret Bourke-White or Dorothea Lange?

How about Roy Stryker, who headed the Farm Security Administration during the Great Depression and hired Dorothea Lange, Edward Weston and numerous other noted photographers to document the effects of the depression on farmers and rural people.
