I'm In Love With One Of My Employees! Help!? |
I own a small company and..well, I don't know how to say this, but I've fallen in love with one of my employees. He does some modeling for the company (We are in the cosmetics business and we make lip balms). His being a model has nothing to do with it (I used to be a model myself and never dated one, though I had many opportunities to do so). I don't like my situation; I have to go out of my way to pretend like I don't notice him like that. He tries to make eye contact and I have to break it because I'm afraid that I might be wrong and be sued. By the way, he's Russian and I find it so charming when he says "Rear" when he's trying to say "Real".It is so funny (but I don't laugh because maybe he's doing the best he can with English)! We both love modeling, photography and fashion! I've also recently discovered that our birthdays are 2 days apart. But he's 23 and I'm 9 years older (So close but yet so far). This guy is special to me. Should I give it up or see where it can lead? A.M., I think you should go for it! Worse case scenario you won't end up dating him, best case- it can turn into something beautiful. At least you won't torture yourself with "could have, should have".. I'm Russian and in my country boys are taught to be providers so I don't think he'll take advantage of you. If you don't want to be too straight forward tell him that you are trying to learn Russian and ask him if he can help you. It's always much easier to learn a language when you can practice with a native speaker. ;) Good luck! Don't give it up. There's nothing wrong in being interested on him. Try to get to know him more. Go out, have a coffee. :) Who knows? Maybe he likes you too. ;) |
