College is on the way, what should i do to prepare? |
im a junior,need of help on deciding what to do. like what types of scholarships should i be on the look for. i love photography & fashion if that helps. i havent signed up for PSAT & SAT because i dont really know much about it. Choose at least three colleges that you want to go to. Check to see if they require SAT, ACT, etc. Keep working on that GPA. Send in college applications at the end of your Junior year. Go to www.fastweb.com to look up some scholarships. The PSAT is given on October 17 by your school or on October 20 (I am not sure of the oct. 20th date) but the price is like $15 the PSAT is like a practice SAT except it is shorter and you do not have to write the essay. It basically measures your ability of how well you will do on the SAT. You should usually sign up for the SAT in the Spring semester of your junior year and than another time your senior year. You should also speak to your college counselor about some good colleges for Photography and fashion. In NY there is a SUNY school called fashion institute of techology but there is a whole bunch. Scholarships there is fastweb where you make a profile and they match you with some scholarships and stuff. I am a senior right now and trying to get college applications out of the way and stuff.
