What should I study before University? |
Which 16-19 education pathway should I take which would then enable me to study fashion photography at University? Possible options are A Levels in relevent subjects, and if so which? A diploma in foundation art, or photography and fashion? Any other recommendations would be great too. =] Have a look at the uni websites and see what they're asking for. They may mention specific subjects or give some general guidelines about it. If they don't, you could try emailing the admissions team at the universities that provide the course you want to do - they may be able to help. It's also worth baring in mind that a 'proven interest' may help as well. What that means is that if you can show an admissions tutor that you are passionate about the course you're applying for, then that will recommend you as a committed student who will work hard. For example, if you did art, photography and business A-levels but you can also show that you always go to London fashion week, you have a portfolio of fashion photography you like and of stuff you've taken and you can get some work experience with the local paper covering anything fashion related then you'll have covered all bases. Hope that helps! If you don't know the answer to your question then you are not ready to go to university, it is you that has to decide what you can do best or what you would like to do better at, no one can do that for you. |
