I wanna get into photgraphy? |
Hi, I would really like to get into Fashion and Beauty photography some day. I do not want to do the three year course in photography. Will it be okay if I just do short courses in Photography or do u suggest the 3 year course. And how do u get into Fashion photography aswell? It's an iffy business. I will ask you about your personality type. Why? Well, I know guys who have education and experience and a modicum of talent, whose careers never really take off. They are always on the far fringe of the business, shooting weddings to make ends meet, things like that. What's true of graphic design freelancing is also true of photography: It helps immensely -- more than it really should -- to have a saleman's personality. Softspoken, retiring, recessive personalities don't get very far in these businesses on their own. People who are loud and self-promoters and can network and power lunch like an executive or real estate broker do very well. I don't endorse this set up. But it's the businesses as I have discovered them. Source(s): Over a dozen years in advertising and design. nice i love taken photo also go ahead man.if you have the talent, and passion in fashion photography you are bound to get a lot of success, fame & money. you should be in playboy mag. yes A great many things that photographes learn are from books, magazines and other articles; so, read as much as possible. Sometimes, what you don't understand in one article will be crystal clear in another. There are new innovations being introduced now with the new technology that it's almost impossible to stay current (computer technology, computer image programs, archival issues, inks, printers, memories, etc., etc). I would suggest that if you are not too familiar with the basics that you take a beginner's course in photography either at a local college through the Evening, Adult & Continuing Education Program, or at a local "Y" (YMCA, YWCA, YMHA, YWHA) or similar organization. That way, even if you choose not to pursue photography as a career, you can still enjoy it as a hobby. If, however, you decide to pursue photography as a career, at least you'll know the basics (how to compose, how to crop images via the viewfinder, use of different lenses and filters, different techniques and you'll also learn the jargon, the photographer's vocabulary, so that you'll better understand what is being said). Then, you can decide whether or not you want to go to college (a good choice, anyway, to major in photography or maybe some other area of interest). A club is also a good way to get feedback from more knowledgeable individuals who will also help you and guide you, and offer constructive criticism. For now, there are many sites on the web that have free lessons and tutorials; for example, nikonians.com and photo.com and photosig.com and usefilm.com and flickr.com and treklens.com and nikon.pixelcritic.com and dpreview.com and popphoto.com and many other good ones, too. Fashion and Glamor are among the most competitive areas in photography to get into. Don't lose hope, develop your skills and talents. Give it a try but remember that the more you know, the more your work at it, the better your chances. Good luck. |
