How do you get started in fashion photography?
Come up with a portfolio of images and post on-line. If you can't affort to hire models to get some sample images, then do a TFP (time for print) scenario. You shoot photos of a model and give prints or digital files to the model that they can use to promote and market themselves. They don't charge you a modeling fee in exchange for the prints....and then you've got nice images with professional subjects to use as samples.
That'll at least get you jump started.
