I have a canon 30D, I am going to photograph a wedding indoors & out, what kind of flash do I need for gr8 pix

wedding photography, good lighting for church, fill flash for outdoors

Some churchs dont allow flash photography...

If your advanced get a Metz flash and a bracket and a good stand maybe. Or some strobes and stands. If you trust TTL for your exposures get a 580 or 430 canon flash, or maybe a sunpack flash.

have u considered checking the manual for this question? i would try the 580ex II... you may want to look it up and do some research first though.

Open the Owner's Manual for your camera and look in the Index for the section on accessories. It will tell you which Canon flash units are compatible with your camera. Then you can go to canonusa.com and read the full specifications on each flash.

Now find the section in the Manual for "Using Flash". Read and study it.

My suggestion is to buy the top of the line. My motto has always been: "Its better to have a feature and not need it than to need it and not have it." Plan to spend some time reading and studying the Owner's Manual for the flash.

Then buy a good off-camera flash bracket.

Now spend time practicing using your flash and camera.
