Best camera setting for indoor concert? |
Hey folks - I have a Nikon Coolpix L1 camera; we're going to a concert in a few days that doesn't allow photography, so if I'm going to get any photos, I need to sneak the camera in and I must be able to NOT use the flash. We're in row 38 or 39. What would be the best flashless setting to use that would still take fairly good shots from that distance away without making it too blurry? Your help would be greatly appreciated! Hi, The best camera for that indoor concert would be a Canon 5D with a 200 mm f/1.8 lens. Short of that your best bet is to use the night scene mode and set your camera on something steady and use the timer to avoid shaking the camera when you release the shutter. Practice in your living room under poor lighting to see what you're able to get. Take care! Ignacio It depends upon the speed of the film.....1000 is the fastest....if you lower the apeture (spelling) too low, you really need a tripod. SOOO, get the FAST film.I have often taken indoor photos with no flash. Get a fast speed film...it's been soooo long since I've done this....I am referring to the good old REGULAR cameras.....not this digital junk. I have a PENTAX K1000. If you use a telephoto lens, it complicates things still further...then you REALLY need a fast film. I would go to a camera store and speak with someone very knowledgeable. Good luck, friend. What options are there? Good luck!@! Its a digital camera, try various setting, view the results. if there is a lot of movement combined with low light, and multicoloured flashing lights , some digital cameras have problems working quickly. use something as a prop to rest the camera on, in the dark without a flash, focusing and taking the picture will be longer, so camera shake and blurred pics are more likely. I know that is obvious but in a hurry we often forget turn off the sound change iso setting to 400 good luck See these tutorials on concert photography: http://www.net-art.it/photomonitor/html/... |
